MILTON- CAMERA & RTMS DETECTOR ON I-93 AT EAST MILTON SQUARE

This project involves installing two 40 foot tall Steel Poles, each with pan-tilt-zoom CCTV cameras, at the northern and southern sections of I-93 adjacent to the East Milton Square covered section of I-93. The purpose of these CCTV cameras is to view the roadway area beneath the East Milton Square overpass and the adjacent areas and report to the MassDOT Traffic Operations Center. There shall also be one (1) radar based traffic sensor installed on the southern ITS Pole, and two (2) radar based traffic sensors installed on the northern ITS Pole for traffic measurements across all lanes of I-93 traffic both northbound and southbound including the HOV lanes. Traffic measurements shall include: volume, speed, headway, gap, occupancy, vehicle classification and presence and reported to the MassDOT Traffic Operation Center.
