About the Districts

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation's Highway Division is separated into District offices which operate under the direction of the central Boston office at:

Directions

Each District office is under the direction of a District Highway Director. The District office supervises all road and bridge construction within its jurisdiction; performs on-site engineering; implements maintenance and preventive maintenance programs; generates proposals for maintenance and construction work; and provides engineering support to cities and towns.
